Canus
manufactures a variety of skin care products based on the naturally moisturizing
properties of goat's milk. In most developed countries, when we think of the
term "milk," our minds automatically assume the milk of the cow. In fact, more
people in the world consume goat's milk than the milk of any other animal.
Goat's milk differs from cow's milk in the molecular structure of the naturally
occurring proteins and triglycerides. These shorter strands are easily absorbed
by the skin, resulting in a natural moisturizing effect. Canus works with a
cooperative of shepherds who raise their goats for the production of milk,
cheese and yogurt. A by-product of the production process is a super-rich milk
which is appropriate for cosmetic uses. In the production of their soaps and
lotions, they leverage this milk and its moisturizing properties with a clean,
fresh fragrance. Currently, we offer a body lotion and a moisturizing body wash.
All of our products are available in a lightly fragranced
version. Canus is opposed to animal testing.
